Leaf - Troubleshooting - Not working / Not recognized by Nintendo Switch

Keywords: Leaf, DG50, Nintendo Switch

The Avantree DG50 Leaf is a Bluetooth Audio USB adapter. As long as your USB port can output audio, this adapter should work. So it works with any PC, Mac, PS4, Nintendo console, etc.

If you have any issues using the Leaf with your Nintendo Switch, here are some common reasons:

1. Nintendo Switch Firmware

Please ensure the firmware of your Nintendo Switch has been updated to 4.0.0 or above. Bluetooth headphone support for the Switch wasn't available on previous versions - please see this link for details.

2. Early Leaf versions (before 16H)

Versions of the Leaf manufactured prior to production lot 16H may have incompatibilities with your gaming platform.

To check this swivel the green rubber cover out of the way and check the lot number of your unit as below. If the lot number is earlier than 16H please contact us at support@avantree.com and we'll help you troubleshoot the issue or replace the unit.

If neither of the 2 points above apply to your case, please test the Leaf by plugging it into your computer to see if it can be recognized by your PC correctly.

* If the Leaf can be recognized by your PC - please reset your Nintendo Switch, reinstall your software together with all updates and try again.

* If the Leaf cannot be recognized by your PC - then the problem most likely lies with your unit. Please contact us at support@avantree.com describing your current issue and we'll arrange a replacement unit for you.
