IMPORTANT NOTICE: Pls note that if you switch audio source, e.g. from Cable to Netflix, TV will reset the audio settings. SO you need to RE-DO the TV audio settings again.
Step 1 : Check the TC417 and headphone are connected or not.
Connected indicators:
- LED on TC417 stay SOLID GREEN
Not connected indicators:
- LED on TC417 FLASHES GREEN
If connected, but still no sound, then go to below Step 2;
If not connected, pair and connect them referring to below link:
Step 2: Check if there is valid audio signal being fed into TC417.
If connected using TV DIGITAL AUDIO OUT(OPTICAL),
1) Ensure the AUX/SPDIF(Optical) switch on the TC417 is set to the “SPDIF” position.
2) Ensure your TV Speaker setting is set to “External Speaker”.
3) IMPORTANT: Ensure TV Audio format is set to “PCM” or make sure “DOLBY/DTS” is off.
Note: The setting menu may vary depending on different TV brand and model.
If connected using TV HEADPHONE JACK,
1) Ensure the AUX/SPDIF (Optical) switch on the TC417 is set to the “AUX” position.
2) Ensure your TV speaker setting is set to “Headset”.
Note: The setting menu may vary depending on different TV brand and model.
3) Plug wired ear buds into the headphone jack on TV; check if you can hear sound.
If connected using TV RCA JACK,
1) Ensure the AUX/SPDIF (Optical) switch on the TC417 is set to the “AUX” position.
2) Ensure using TV Red/White ports labeled “AUDIO OUT”; other Red/White ports are incorrect.
3) Ensure your TV Speaker setting is set to “External Speaker”.
4) Plug headphone into RCA ports with AUX 3.5mm to RCA audio adaptor cable To check if you can hear sound.
